Itinerary

Day 1 Cusco / Cusco – City Tour.

Upon your arrival in Cusco, you will be assisted by our representative, who on your way to the hotel will provide information about our city and the different tours.

Delight yourself with a tour of this majestic city, in a tour in which you will visit the Qoricancha temple, which is considered the highest expression of Inca architecture, then visit the main square and appreciate the balconies that surround it. The Cathedral keeps in its interior the most beautiful altars, altarpieces and canvases of the Cusco school, we will continue towards the outskirts of the city to admire one of the most imposing Saqsaywaman architectural complexes, superb construction of monumental blocks and of excellent Qenqo architecture, ceremonial center and ritual where different sacrifices were made in honor of the Pachamama. Finally, the tour will conclude at your hotel.

Day 2 Cusco / South Valley.

In the morning we will take the road that will take us to the south of our city. After about 22 km we will take a detour to visit the archaeological complex of Tipon, an agricultural experimental center that dates back to the Incas, surrounded by Inca walls and platforms. It also has a hydraulic system, a ritual center dedicated to the adoration of water; and Piquillacta (town of fleas), pre-Inca satellite city of the Wari Culture, with a set of terraces, stone walls and buildings that still stand and maintain their original structure. Then we will visit the church of Andahuaylillas, considered today as the “Sistine Chapel of Peru”, encloses in its interior syncretisms put in a disguised form by its Andean cabinetmakers of colonial art.

Day 3 Cusco / Sacred Valley.

We will start our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas enjoying the best panoramic view of the Andean landscape. On the way we will make a strategic stop in a very special place called Awanakancha, reserve of South American camelids, where you will be able to appreciate the different varieties of alpacas, llamas, guanacos and vicuñas as well as the ancestral weaving techniques. We will continue to Pisac, where you will have the opportunity to haggle with the vendors in your typical indigenous market. Later we will go to the town of Urubamba where we will enjoy our lunch in a country restaurant. After our lunch we will continue our trip to the town of Ollantaytambo, to walk through the picturesque streets of this place, and to appreciate the magnificence of its Inca fortress.

  • We will finish the tour at the Ollantaytambo station and take the train to Aguas Calientes.

Day 4 Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco.

This very early day will be driven to the bus station, which will take us approximately 23 minutes to “The lost city of the Incas”, discovered by the American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. Located in the upper part of the mountain of the same name is the ancient and wonderful city of Machu Picchu, whose meaning in Quechua is “Montaña Vieja”. According to the investigations, Machu Picchu would have been one of the rest homes of the ninth emperor named Pachacutec. Machu Picchu is considered at the same time a masterpiece of architecture and engineering due to its unique architectural and landscape features. Highlights among its buildings are the Main Plaza, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Solar Clock and the Ceremonial Areas, among other constructions of singular architecture and importance. Discover in the company of your guide the mysteries that keep this splendid Inca citadel, which is a truly amazing experience.

Return to the town of Aguas Calientes to enjoy an exquisite lunch After the guided tour in the archaeological site. At the end of your visit to the town of aguas calientes take the train that will take you to the Ollantaytambo station, where our staff will be waiting for you to drive you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
